NBC’s “Today” show has landed former first daughter as a correspondent. Jenna Hager is a 27 year old teacher in Baltimore will have the task of contributing stories and anecdotes on several issues such as education to “Today” the top rated morning news show.
Jenna Hager the daughter of former president Bush has always wanted to become a teacher and a writer, consequently she has already achieved writing two books. When contacted by NBC she was very intrigued about working on Television. She said she never really dreamed about working on TV, but having an open mind helped her realize that she wanted to be on TV.
Jenna Hager will be working part time on TV, and part time at her school where she is set to be a reading coordinator. Jim Bell the today show executive producer got the idea of getting Jenna on “Today” after she appeared twice promoting her book about an HIV infected mother. They felt that she sort of just really stood out, had a great presence and seemed very comfortable on air. “I think she can handle it,” Bell said.
Bell expects Jenna’s first appearance to be sometime next month,
